With a rare talent for depicting the horrors of war, whilst sharing his deep love of his country in gentle watercolours, Nyasha is a self-taught Zimbabwean artist. He portrays daily life, in the towns and the villages, of his home country.
Born in the Eastern Highlands of Manicaland, Nyasha remembers often being in trouble with his teachers for drawing caricatures of them. He has a qualification in Chemical Technology in Mineral Essay.
While currently managing a chemical business in Bulawayo he is heavily involved with teaching art to children. His fondness of fishing takes him close to nature where he can sit and enjoy the colours and textures of the nature around him - which is the essence of his art.

"In The Derelict House, Lesley Cripps Thomson vividly conveys the fun and the frustrations of living and working in the African bush.
Enlivened by the many characters who pepper the pages, her book also paints a colourful picture of the wildlife scene.
For those who aspire to sample wild Africa for the first time, and for those who have already fallen under its spell, this is an excellent read!"
