Sid Hayes

South African Tour Guide & Professional Wildlife Photographer

Zimbabwean Sid Hayes started his remarkable guiding career in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, over 3 decades ago, soon becoming a specialist guide covering Southern Africa and East Africa. The love he has for the African bush is reflected in his infectious smile and joy of being one with nature.

A very keen fly-fisherman and birder, Sid has been a canoeing, white-water rafting and adventure guide, has led incentive and corporate groups on a safari of a life-time and enriched the lives of first-time travellers to Africa.  His vast knowledge of the surrounding environment has its roots in an agricultural background.  

As a family man Sid appreciates the importance of bonding, sharing experiences in the wild and creating memories for generations to come.  From the youngest to the oldest – Sid is also a qualified carer – from one solitary explorer, a group of buddies or future wildlife experts, being guided by a true professional completes every aspect of a safari in Africa.  

Together with his wife Cheryl, they established Exclusive Touch Africa in 2000 advising and creating superb safaris and tours which, on request, Sid can accompany you as a guide, perfecting a truly wonderful and unique experience.
